Gaps in industry education and training

The European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and associations (EFPIA) represents the pharmaceutical industry operating in Europe. It has a direct membership of 31 national associations and 38 leading pharmaceutical companies and is the voice of 2,000 EU companies committed to the research and development of new medicines, to be approved for marketing and use by regulatory agencies. Information gathered from pharmaceutical industry concerning their education and training needs will be displayed on on-course so that:

  • Students can make more informed decisions when choosing courses by selecting from areas that are in demand
  • Course providers can see the current education and training requirements and adapt existing curriculum or develop new courses to meet those needs
  • Changes to course curriculum based on industry and regulatory requirements will allow students to leave academic settings with knowledge that is in-demand and up-to-date and therefore reduces in-house training
