Description

The doctoral program in experimental medicine is a new structured program for natural science doctoral candidates at the Faculty of Medicine. It allows doctoral candidates with a Diplom or Master’s degree in the natural sciences whose mentor is a member of the TUM Faculty of Medicine to receive a Dr. rer. nat. degree through the Faculty of Medicine.

The program is characterized by:

Medicine-related scientific doctoral projects
Interdisciplinary mentoring by a physician and a natural scientist
Supervision agreements between doctoral candidates, advisors and thesis committees
Screening of doctoral projects by an interdisciplinary committee for quality control
Membership in the TUM Medical Graduate Center and the TUM Graduate School
Awarded degree: Dr. rer. nat.
