Experts gave views on future areas shaping biomedical research and development

The IMI EMTRAIN Gap Team has published the results of the 2015 'The Next Big Thing in Biomedical Sciences' online survey.

In brief, the most important research fields the participating experts listed in the survey were:

Major health care issues in Europe

  3. Antibiotic resistance/Infectious disease

The annual 'Next Big Thing in Biomedical Sciences' online survey intends to:

  • Help course providers in Europe to deliver training that directly addresses the immediate and future needs of the biomedical sector
  • Guide students and employees towards “in-demand” areas for career planning, cross-sectorial collaboration and mobility
  • Aid funding bodies to target resources more effectively

 

EMTRAIN, together with the IMI-funded education and training projects Eu2P, PharmaTrain and SafeSciMET, is now part of imi-train, the new umbrella project funded by IMI.
