Description

The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research strives to set up the basis for new diagnostic tools, new active agents and new therapies against infectious diseases. More than 750 employees and about 150 guest scientists from all over the world are
involved in this urgent task.

The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research is a member of the Helmholtz Association, the largest German scientific organisation
that employs overall more than 30,000 people.
It is the mission of the Helmholtz Association to deploy cutting-edge research as a solution for the large and pressing issues in society, science and commerce. At the HZI, infectious diseases constitute our primary focus.
